Welcome to the Jacob's Chapel AME Church web-site! We are pleased to introduce our church, our mission, and our vision to you. Our members will find helpful information about upcoming activities and programs. If you are a visitor, or just simply interested in learning about our church family here at Jacob's Chapel, we invite you to explore our web-site, call our office, or simply come in and visit. We encourage and welcome everyone who has a desire for fellowship and to grow their relationship with God. Mission Statement Jacob's Chapel AME Church strives to set a Christian standard with the Burlington County area, the nation and the world; through its commitment to caring. We are called to make a difference by serving the total needs of our members and people from all walks of life, regardless of age, gender, national origin or economic background. Our purpose is to preach the gospel, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, house the homeless, cheer the fallen, provide jobs for the jobless, administer to the needs of those in prison, hospitals, mental institutions and senior citizens homes, caring for the sick, shut-in, the mentally and socially disturbed, and encouraging thrift and economic development. Thanks to All who attended or sent donations to Sunday, May 23, 2010 Jacob's Chapel is one of the oldest AME churches in New Jersey and is the sight of a station on the underground railroad. Children in the many surrounding school districts take 4th Grade field trips to this church to learn about the underground railroad. Reenactors bring the story to life. In addition, Jacob's Chapel provides mentoring programs, a food pantry, summer camp and other important community services. It's history is rich and full of interesting stories but its future is even more interesting. In order the save the historic church for future generations and expand its current programs and facilities. The event will feature the dynamic Rev. Dr. Mark Tyler from The Historic Mother Bethel AME Church in Philadelphia the renowned historical re-enactor Millicent Sparks and other entertainment.
